Once I downloaded the manufacturer’s app, synced the fan, and configured the settings, everything came to life. The fan began working normally, even from the wall switch.
It was a bit of a mystery solved! Neither of us knew the fan had “smart” capabilities when we started, and it was counterintuitive that the fan wouldn’t operate manually right out of the box. But once it was connected, it worked exactly as it should.
In the end, I was able to reinstall the client’s original fan, get it working again, and save her from spending money on a new one. She was thrilled—and it was another example of how handyman work is often about problem-solving, not just repairs.
